Structures of NECSIZ

NECSIZ has the following structures in terms of Full Council and its committees:

 

Full Council

  • 10 members representing Employers
  • 10 members representing Unions
  • A Ministry of Labour Representative
  • NECSIZ General Secretary as an Ex Officio member
    Full Council is the policy-making board of NECSIZ. It is led by a Chairperson deputized by a Vice Chairperson and both are elected from among the 20 Councilors to serve for 5 years, after which a new Council comes into force and elects its Chairperson and Vice Chairperson.

    • Executive Committee

  • Chairperson of Council by virtue of their position
  • Vice Chairperson of Council by virtue of their position
  • 4 Employer representatives
  • 4 Union representatives
  • NECSIZ General Secretary as an Ex Officio member
    • The Executive Committee supervises the Secretariat on behalf of Council. The Executive Committee also has the following sub-committees under it:

    HR Committee

  • 2 Employer representatives
  • 2 Union representatives
  • NECSIZ General Secretary or Accountant as an Ex Officio member
    • The HR Committee elects its own Chairperson and Vice Chairperson from among the 4 representatives.   The HR Committee deals with all HR issues and reports to the Executive Committee.

    Procurement Committee

  • The Procurement Committee consists of the following:
  • 2 Employer representatives
  • 2 Union representatives
  • NECSIZ General Secretary or Accountant as an Ex Officio member
    • The Procurement Committee elects its own Chairperson and Vice Chairperson from among the 4 representatives.   The Procurement Committee deals with all issues related to the procurement of goods and services for NECSIZ and reports to the Executive Committee.  

    Negotiating Committee

  • 4 Employer representatives
  • 4 Union representatives
  • A Ministry of Labour representative
  • NECSIZ General Secretary as an Ex Officio member
    • The Committee elects its Chairperson and Vice Chairperson from the 8 representatives of Employers and Unions.   The Negotiating Committee negotiates all issues that Council may require to be negotiated including the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).   The Negotiating Committee reports to Full Council.

    Exemption Committee

  • 2 Employer representatives
  • 2 Union representatives
  • NECSIZ General Secretary or Accountant as an Ex Officio member
    • The Exemption Committee elects its own Chairperson and Vice Chairperson from among the 4 representatives.   The Exemption Committee deals with all issues in which Security Industry players or parties to NECSIZ may require to be exempted from and reports to the Full Council.
